This tropical storm caused massive destruction along the East Coast of the United States and the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire was officially closed during the storm.

Hurricane Sandy caused massive destruction along the east coast. This bridge at the entrance to Loon Mountain Ski Area was damaged during Tropical Storm Irene in 2011.
