The hand of man is defined as any human-made object in nature or a landscape that has been altered by man. An example would be a mountain scene that includes a bench, building, fence, railroad or road in the scene. All photos are available for usage in print publications. This trail utilizes the old railroad bed of the Boston & Maine's Berlin Branch, which was abandoned and removed in the 1990s. Designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974 by the National Park Service, Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge is located in the towns of Jefferson and Whitefield, New Hampshire.

  • The general area of where the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp was located along Tripoli Road in Livermore, New Hampshire during the autumn months. The Civilian Conservation Corps was a public work relief program that operated from 1933 to 1942 in the United States. This is also the general area of a rail-side logging camp along the Woodstock & Thornton Gore Railroad (1909-1914).

Opened in the fall of 1915 by the A.M.C, this trail travels from the Base Station Road, through Ammonoosuc Ravine, terminating at Crawford Path, next to Lakes of the Clouds Hut.
